ENGINEERING & PRODUCTION

Production begins with approved design and engineering information. Frames, panels, mechanisms and electrical systems are developed as connected parts of the visitor experience.
Fabrication, electrical integration, assembly and testing remain connected to the design intent. Making becomes another stage of design: a place to resolve physical detail without losing sight of the visitor experience.

THE PRODUCTION SEQUENCE
MACHINING, METALWORK AND FINISHING
The documented workshop inventory includes lathes, milling and drilling equipment, CNC engraving, laser cutting, sheet-metal forming, welding, panel cutting, cleaning and finishing facilities.
Design intent
Approved design information makes the purpose of every part explicit.
Material preparation
Panels, metal sections and components are prepared for fabrication.
Machining & forming
Cutting, drilling, milling, bending and welding shape the exhibit structure.
Surface finishing
Grinding, cleaning and finishing prepare parts for final assembly.
Systems integration
Mechanisms, electronics, displays and controls are resolved as one experience.
Assembly
The exhibit is built as a complete physical and interactive system.
Testing & review
The team operates the exhibit, checking behaviour, access and repeated use.
Protective packing
Packing is prepared around the exhibit before collection and transport.

Mechanical structures, controls, displays and interactive components come together in the workshop. The team operates the complete exhibit to review behaviour, access and reliability before packing.

PROTECTED FOR THE JOURNEY
Packing responds to the dimensions, surfaces and handling needs of each finished exhibit. The supplied archive documents custom crates, enclosures, protective wrapping, staging and vehicle loading.
The team operates the complete exhibit and reviews function, access and visitor touchpoints.

GOMI’s supplied quality management system certificate covers science education equipment research and development services for science museums, schools and museums.
