GOMI/ INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS / Human Body
Prosthetics of hope
A multi-user interactive exhibit showing how prostheses, hearing aids, pacemakers and cardiovascular technologies can restore or support human functions.

THE IDEA
Assistive and medical technologies apply engineering to support functions affected by congenital conditions, injury or disease. Prosthetic structures replace part of a limb’s mechanical function, while hearing aids, pacemakers and cardiovascular interventions support sensing or circulation.
THE INTERACTION
Human prosthesis, hearing-aid, pacemaker and heart-bypass models are brought together with a display interface, allowing several visitors to compare how different technologies work with the body.
WHAT VISITORS DISCOVER
Explore how anatomy, materials, sensing, electronics and mechanical design combine in technologies that support human capability.
